BRITISH COLUMBIA – Huldra Silver of Vancouver has begun extracting a 10,000-tonne bulk sample from its Treasure Mountain zinc-lead-silver property 29 km northeast of Hope. The first underground stop mining began last November, and about 4,050 tonnes of material has been mined to date.

From level one (1,622 metres) to the surface (1,675 metres), the 43-101-compliant resource estimate includes a total vein indicated resource, using a 342.8 g/t Ag cut-off, of 14,000 tonnes grading 996.0 g/t Ag, 5.14% Pb and 3.06% Zn. The total inferred resource is 31,000 tonnes grading 1,3341.7 g/t Ag, 5.52% Pb and 6.42% Zn.

Ore from the historic Treasure Mountain mine was milled in the early 1930s. Since 1980, Huldra has been exploring a number of properties in the Similkameen District, including Treasure Mountain. The company is reviewing its cost-saving options before committing to bring the property into production.
